Vendor Rules & Guidelines

1. NO ANIMALS THAT GO AGAINST STATE OR LOCAL ORDINANCES, INCLUDING PROTECTED NATIVE SPECIES AND VENOMOUS ANIMALS SUCH AS SNAKES AND LIZARDS.

We don't want to give guests the wrong idea about what animals can be kept as pets.

Exceptions may be made for PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS who have made previous arrangements with the show coordinators.

ENDANGERED SPECIES OR OTHER "PERMIT ANIMALS" MAY NOT BE SOLD OR PUT ON DISPLAY WITHOUT PROPER LEGAL DOCUMENTATION FROM THE SELLER AND THE BUYER.

2. NO LIVESTOCK ANIMALS OF ANY KIND.
Loud animals such as pigs, ducks, etc. may cause gecko tails to drop and/or cause stress to other animals and vendors. Exceptions are rabbits/bunnies, small rodents, and poultry.

3. NO WILD CAUGHT/IMPORTED REPTILES.

Captive bred and captive hatched reptiles only.

Wild-caught animals can only be sold IF they are PROPERLY LABELED as such.

General rule of thumb: If the show host wouldn't buy it, you're not allowed to sell it.

4. LIVE ANIMALS MUST BE KEPT IN CLEAN, SUITABLE, SECURE, AND HUMANE CONDITIONS WHILE AT OUR SHOWS. Animals brought to our shows must also be in a healthy condition and free of any parasites and disease/illnesses.

5. PLEASE VET YOUR BUYERS.
We want to make sure any animals sold go to good homes, so please make sure you are educating your buyers and making sure they are well-informed on the proper care and husbandry for the animal(s) in question.

6. NO SALES OF MERCHANDISE OR SERVICES NOT RELATED TO OUR SHOW.

If you are applying to be a vendor and have things listed that are not related to our show, you will either be asked not to bring those item(s), or may be denied altogether if the majority of your merchandise doesn't fall into our guidelines.

If we see any items/services for sale at our shows that are not relevant, we may ask for them to be removed.

Examples of things NOT allowed:

- Trading cards, such as Pokemon TCG or baseball cards.

- Cheaply made toys; such as Hot Wheels, fidget spinners, poppers/pop-its, etc.

- MLMs (Multi-Level Marketing) or pyramid scheme companies. These do not represent our shows in any way and will never be allowed under any circumstances.

So what do we allow, exactly?

Anything exotic animal related, metaphysical related, or otherwise handmade in some way (such as art, oddities, etc.) -- if you're not sure if yours qualifies, please feel free to ask and we will let you know. Exceptions may be made in very specific circumstances.

7. IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL SETUP TIME OR OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS:

Please contact us ahead of time so we can work with you. We will try to make things work within reason.

8. RESERVATION/PAYMENT POLICY

8a.Tables/Booths are NOT considered reserved unless the space(s) is/are paid for in full.

Vendors are required to pay upfront unless otherwise discussed with the show host.

8b. Once vendor applications are closed for a show, we will not reopen them for last minute sign ups under any circumstance. The ONLY exception is if a) you are on our waitlist (if we have hit capacity for a show and have a cancellation) and b) have vended for us at least once before.

8c. Reservation fees are non-refundable. Some exceptions may apply depending on circumstances. In the case of an exception being made, you will receive a partial refund of 50% of your reservation fee.

Reservation fees will only ever be refunded in full if a show is cancelled, or it can be applied to a future show.

9. TABLE/BOOTH SETUP POLICY

9a. You may bring your own tables/setup instead of using the ones provided by our venues. However, you must pay for the equivalent space needed for your setup and inform us in advance. We will leave your assigned spot empty for you.

9b. Please note that this does not mean you can pay for the space for a single table and then bring in multiple of your own tables. If we catch you doing this, we will ask you to leave, and you will be blacklisted from vending at our future shows.

9c. Booths are a designated 10'x10' space that you can set up however you like.

Until we are able to invest in pipe and drape kits, these will be marked off with masking tape. This is the best solution we can offer at this time for our vendors who are used to the traditional booth setup.

9d. Your displays should not impede or obscure other vendors' tables/booths. If we find this is an issue we will ask that you correct it.

10. CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event something comes up and you cannot make it to the show, you will need to let us know a minimum of 3 days in advance (unless there is an unexpected emergency) so we can fill in that spot.

If we can get the spot(s) filled, you can either:

a) Get a partial refund of 50% of your reservation fee, OR

b) Apply the amount to a future show.

If we are unable to fill the spot, you will not receive any refund but may apply the amount to a future show.

If there is no communication, we will treat this as a "no call no show" and you will lose out on your reservation fee.

11. WE ARE NOT AN "EXCLUSIVE" SHOW!

This means we don't mind if you vend other shows besides ours! We are small business owners too, and we'd want for you to take every opportunity you can. We understand this is your livelihood and want you to be successful!

12. BE MINDFUL OF YOUR CO-VENDORS.

If there is an issue please notify show staff and we will help you navigate the situation and go from there if need be.

Do not touch another vendors persons, inventory, or earnings without their permission. You will be banned immediately and escorted out, and we will allow the vendor to do what they see fit legally to protect their business.

13. VENDORS WHO ARE SHARING TABLES/BOOTHS, OR SELLING ANIMALS ON CONSIGNMENT FOR FRIENDS:

You are fully responsible for animals placed on your table(s). You should know what you are selling, whether or not it is yours. The vendor renting the table is responsible for for following all show rules. No subletting of tables is allowed without permission from the show coordinator.

14. BE KIND AND SUPPORTIVE!

Most small businesses don't last longer than five years based on recent statistics. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 20% of small businesses fail within their first year. The failure rate increases to 30% by the end of the second year, 50% by the fifth year, and 70% by the tenth year. The most common reasons for small business failure include cash flow problems, lack of demand for the product or service, and insufficient capital.

So please support your co-vendors, if you can! Like, Share, and Follow one another on social media and to keep in touch with each other.

15. MOST IMPORTANTLY.... HAVE FUN!!

Go say hi to the other vendors and check out their tables, as we are not the average exotics show. We will have so many more things such as artwork, oddities, etc -- let your wild side take over and enjoy yourself!

All tables will be inspected by show staff before and during the show to ensure compliance of our rules and guidelines.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED OR REMOVED FROM ANY OTHER SHOWS, OR ARE A SHOW COORDINATOR THAT HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN IN THE PAST DUE TO UNSAFE PRACTICES OR NEGLIGENCE TOWARDS OTHER VENDORS, HOSTS, THEIR ANIMALS, AND/OR YOUR OWN ANIMALS -- YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED AT OUR EVENTS AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
